Happy Birthday America

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

As I enjoyed the birth of my country this weekend, I was intrigued by one thing. I did not hear any firecrackers or see any fireworks by individuals until the 4th itself. In fact I think that I was the only one who started the celebration on the 3rd.

Have all Americans gone somewhere else, or is the economy as bad as I suspected that even Americans would rather save money for necessities instead of for fireworks. While the Obama Government is claiming positive movement on the economy, even last year, at the claimed height of the economic crisis, I was hearing fireworks for 2-3 days before the forth.

Happy Memorial Day to All

Sunday, May 24th, 2009

As I sit back, relax and enjoy this Memorial Day Weekend, I would like to personally give thanks to all those who gave their lives so that I am able to do so.
As an American, freedom is important to me, and without their sacrifice, I most likely would not be able to enjoy all the benefits that I have today.

While I enjoy this weekend, I think about how fragile freedom is, how easily it is to loose. I remember the quote of Benjamin Franklin, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”

I think about what is happening in our country today, and am fearful that our children may not be able to enjoy the freedoms that we have enjoyed. Our constitution is under attack, our freedoms are being curtailed, our constitutional rights and privileges are being challenged in the name of safety. Like sheep being led to slaughter, we are giving up that which is ours in the name of safety. And like sheep, we will be led to slaughter.

To paraphrase Patrick Henry, ‘Is life so dear, or peace so sweet’. We have to make the choice, as those who gave their lives did. Will we be as right as they were. Will we be able to give to our children the freedom that we have received from them.

We can if we work together, and so work together we must.

Hello my Fellow Americans

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

I am extremely dissatisfied with the direction that this nation is taking. Unless a change is made soon, our nations, as we know it, may not be there for our children. I tried to do something, and thus Ran for the office of US Congress from Virginia to try to change the direction. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful in my attempts.

This is my blog to hopefully motivate others to take up my quest. I am always available to anyone who is interested in the future of our Nation. I personally read and respond to all commens.

Congratulations to our new President – Lets wish him success

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

Dear President ObamaAs you take the oath of office for the President of the United States, I would like to congratulate you once more on your cogent campaign and your landmark victory leading to a historic moment in the history of our nation. While I admit that I did not vote for you, I hope that all my fears will be proven to be unfounded, and that you become a great president who takes our nation to new heights. It is time now for us to put aside our differences and work together for the good of our nation.

There is no doubt that the economy is today the highest priority. It has come to this from just a minor blip due to the incompetence of our government. I really was dismayed to see that both of our Presidential candidates supported this extravagant and useless bailout bill. It led to, as I had predicted a terrible Christmas season for Americans.

We need a radical change in government from protecting big business to protecting the American people to solve this problem. I assure you that had every single financial institution failed, a new institution would have arisen to fulfill the need. Instead the government put our hard money replacing the paper money that the banks had lost due to their own greedy actions.

The government response by trying to control executive pay will do nothing as long as the government allows them to fleece the people and have huge profits for doing nothing. Had it been linked to reduction in or limitation on service fees; Had the interest rate reduction been linked to passing the bulk of it to the citizens, there would have been a far greater positive impact on our economy. Instead, the government, used fear mongering to get support of bad bill, and in the process, destroyed Americans faith in the system.

Socialistic policies can provide temporary relief to the weaker sections of society, but will do nothing to improve the economic state of our Nation. That can only be done by creating wealth of the nation, and every person on welfare is one less person generating wealth for the nation. A mixture is policies is needed that addresses both issues to truly solve the critical problems facing our nation today.

As one who has prospered in this nation, and has a vested interest in its continued success, I offer you my support to help our country enter a new age of prosperity. Lets work together for the good of our Country.
